King is a 4yo 15hh red roan tobiano Gypsy Vanner gelding, who is registered with the GVHS. His dam is GHHH Blues Tulsa, his sire is SD Rebel. He is PSSM1 neg through parentage.
Gypsy Vanners are known for their strong build, gentle nature and sensible disposition, a statement of which King embodies every aspect, with his kind, trainable personality.
With a cool, calm and collected temperament, King is eager to please and oozes confidence when faced with new challenges.

King had an initial 60-day start as a 3-year-old, before coming back into work with a professional trainer in June this year. He will continue his education, staying in full training up until the sale.
Consistent as they come, King is soft off your hands and legs, riding around with a steady head carriage, and gentle forward impulsion. Relaxed, balanced and quiet in the walk, trot and canter, King has begun learning basic lateral work such as leg yields, shoulder in and haunches in. He has a soft lateral flexion and is a pleasure to ride.
Proving himself to be a very universal mount, King is excelling at whatever we throw his way. Despite his young age and relatively limited training, King has become a reliable go-to horse in our lesson program, carrying all different levels of rider, from beginner to advanced through the arena. He has also started some light jumping, although with his heavy legs, it takes a bit of effort. King is showing himself to be a well-rounded trail horse, and at the end of August he will be taking an amateur rider through Ya Ha Tinda on a 4 day mountain trip.
Comfortable in an English or Western saddle, King can become whatever you want him to be.
Easy to keep with 4 strong feet, King is exceptionally uncomplicated. Strong enough for dad, soft enough for mom, with time, he is sure to be fun for the whole family.
